SUPRA-SHOW: Interactive Staging Design
This project involves the KUKA robot arms in IDEAS campus to create the robotic interactive show. It combines both the pre-mapped and real-time responsive projection animation to reinforce the movement of projection content (robot arms move and dance,etc), and enhance the interaction between people, robot arms and projection.
In first part, the robotic movement is combined with projection mapping so it likes a dancing show of robots. In second part, virtual robot avatars interact with projection-mapped choreographed robots dancing in the cage. Motion sensing allows participants to animate the robot avatar in real-time, with their own movement and gestures. In third part, the human figure projection capturing the participants moves, changes, grows, shrinks or transforms and in response to robot motion. In forth part, the robot arms can be controlled by participant in real time through the sensor.
